The Design Process
The Solotu Experience will be as different as every bride, but there are certain steps we follow in order to make the creation process organized and enjoyable. Get started with the Solotu Experience below.
Step #1. Inspiration
We recommend you have fun and start gathering all of your ideas and inspiration for your gown by visiting stores, searching the web, looking through magazines, historical references, or really anything that inspires you is welcome.
Step #2. Design Appointment
Schedule an appointment with us to discuss all of your ideas, and see them come to life in a sketch. We will discuss fabric, lace, and embellishment options. You will also be introduced to Solotu and our methods of custom-made.
Step #3. Measurements
We will take 28 precise measurements of your body to develop custom patterns for your custom gown.
Step #4. The Muslin
Let’s bring your sketch to life; but let’s practice a little first. A muslin is a white cotton-based fabric that is perfect for trying out the various design and fit elements of a gown. At this stage it is determined if any changes are in order, before the actual gown fabric is cut.
Step #5. The Gown
When everything has been approved by you, your gown goes into production. After a few fittings your gown will be completed and ready to wear for your big day!
